SHIKSHA KI ORE BADHTE NANHE KADAM

"education is a debt on present generation to be paid to future generation "
hi everybody
today i m going to share with you my experience,my work or you can say my passion
today i m going to share with you"pathshaala" -a school for slum children
a place where i may not teach them to earn bread but definately puts a smile on their faces.n in some nice way enlightens up their lives
it started with this slum on the outsirts of a railway colony where these children were day workers to earn a lil for their family
some did cleaning, some sellling.some were beggers  n dont be astonished some were pickpocketeers too they used to earn whole day n in evening settteled with some kind of addiction be it vicks or some snuff i saw their condition n thought "is this what a life to be"
started with councelling of a grp of children that they shud go to school, not use  addictive stuff n what not u know what the answer was-"didi ji hum nahi kamayenge to ghar me khana kaise banega" n an elder one said"hum log nasha larte hai taaki bhukh na lage"
that was an ultimate shock i realised its not the poverty thats the underlying problem but the illiteracy
that was the birth of paathshala -a tent, ablackboard.chalk.an d evening time
on 1st day only 4 boys then i went into slum to persuade people to send their children
ya the no increased the other day but only boys turned up
i asked some families to send their girl child also n got the reply "dekhiye madam ji hume apni ladkiyo ko collector nahi banana ladkiya padhengi to kaam kaun karega ghar ka?jo bache aata hai unhe padhaiye nahi to chalte bane"
but then persuading female members worked out n they sent their daughters to study
now 34 of them study appear in state  xams privately n make their  "madamji" aproud teacher
they paint, they make sculptures n sometimes i feel they are much more talented than me
"never loose hope for bringing out a change "
i wished to make a better life for them n succeded to an extent
somebody once asked me what did i get in return let me tell u what i got
one day i asked these children what they wannabe in future ,some said doctor, some engineer,a girl called rani wanted to be madhuri dikshit n a girl called lakshmi said-"mai aapke jaise banna chahti hu madamji"
so guys this is what i get love, compassion, respect n what more can i ask for
as nida fazli said
"GHAR SE MASJID HAI BAHUT DOOR CHALO YU KAR LE
GHAR SE MASJID HAI BAHUT DOOR CHALO YU KAR LE
KISI ROTE HUE BACHHE KO AAJ HASAYA JAAYE"
