Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.......its not a review

A cinematic journey,an emotional retreat, a spiritual sojourn -that is Bhaag Milkha Bhaag for you.We all have heard about #Milkha singh (or have we not?) but here was a story ready to be told,to be narrated for whom Life's biggest problems start with a job hunt and end upon heartbreaks .Milkha Singh's story certainly is the one we should look upon. It has everything. Pain of losing a family, the backdrop of partition, the determination to win the one you love and a dream. Throw it all together with the added drama of India vs Pakistan and you have one of the most neglected sports stories of the century
Even if you lack the faintest interest in sports ,this movie will draw you closer for life’s simplest pleasures and the dedication &zeal to achieve that ,for instance that blazer which said ”India”
Milkha Singh deserved to be told for in a newly independent India ,he was one among the very few who made the nation sing” Saare Jahan se achha ,hindustaan humara”
Coming to the film, Farhan Akhtar is at his exemplary best .He has put in a hell of efforts and it definitely shows ,supported by a power packed supporting cast this is a movie you can’t dare to give a miss
Go watch Bhaag Milkha Bhaag  for it triumphs in its depiction of a man coming to terms with the ugliest scenes from his childhood, witnessing his parents’ slaughter during the Partition of India and Pakistan in 1947 and the resultant genocide, and rebuilding his life to become an Indian icon
Who knows you may stop complaining about those little discomforts that life throws on your way

NASA Goes Cute this time with a 7 year old kid

Not many children write letters to government entities, we would think. But a boy's letter to NASA  is making waves and softening hearts on   the Internet today.
"Dear NASA," the letter begins. "My name is Dexter I heard that you are sending 2 people to Mars and I would like to come but I'm 7." The handwritten note, in which Dexter asks for advice about becoming an astronaut, got a full response from NASA, along with some stickers and posters.
That led Dexter's mother, whom HuffPost Parents   names as Katrina Anderson of Britain, to put images of the letters and swag on the Web, and to submit a post to Reddit titled, "My 7 year old son wrote to NASA about wanting to be an astronaut and visit Mars, we received  his reply this morning."
In its letter back to Dexter, NASA told the boy that he could someday be a pioneer, helping to increase what  the world understands about Earth and space. The agency closed by saying, "Your interest in NASA is appreciated. NASA wishes you every success in earning good school grades and encourages you to keep reaching for the stars!"
Responses poured forth on Reddit, where many comments sought to help young Dexter find a way to pursue his dream and possibly attend space camp.
"He visited the Kennedy Space Centre and loved it," Dexter's mom wrote. "He also has a fascination with America. We are English and live here in England, I     feel I will lose him to America one day ;)"
She also said the boy has "been a bit overwhelmed by  the response today," adding that she would save all the links people sent into a special folder. Dexter, she explained, is allotted only a certain amount of time on the Web.
The enthusiastic public response to Dexter's letter led NASA to note on its Twitter feed Monday, "We try to answer as many Q's as possible on social media. For those who prefer postal mail, we respond there, too."
As BuzzFeed points out, one person who commented    on the Reddit thread says he's a NASA employee who occasionally visits NASA's Public Outreach office, where "they have scans of these letters pinned to their cubicles."
Dexter's mother responded:
"Thank you so much for replying to these letters honestly I didn't expect as much as he received, neither did he. I was actually trying to keep him from being disappointed if he didn't get a response, I thought you guys would just be too busy. This sort of thing means the world to children and keeps their imagination and faith in the industry alive. He wrote to the DC office. Thank you from both of us, he was so excited when he got the letter."

I Have Traveled.............Forever

I have traveled through, flickering beams
I have traveled down the road of fractured dreams,
I have traveled down the roads of lovers parting
and I have traveled down those sad roads, enough it seems.

I have traveled down the paths of injustice
and traveled on the highways of deceit,
I have traveled through mistrust and doubt,
and traversed too many roads of ' incomplete  shout'.

I have driven on the turnpikes of destruction,
and I have rested on the sides of these at night,
I have traveled down the roads of wrong selection,
and I have known the fear that comes with needless
fright.

I have ventured down the highways of humanity,
and gazed upon the pathways of  sanity
I have traveled down the road of self-deception,
and found, that in the end ...
its you and only you who matter

In all my aimless travel,
I have found it to be true ...
that no matter what you think you know,
... there always is a different point of view
In this journey of life,
I have traveled down many roads
And what matters the most

Is that one path that crosses and yet merges………………Sehar

TouchHB...............A SILENT REVOLUTION FOR A HEALTHY INDIA

"As the births of living creatures are at first ill-shapen, so are all innovations, which are the births of time"
meet Myshkin Ingawale , co-founder of an Indian med tech company called Biosense Technologies. Myshkin and his team have developed a portable, mobile phone-sized device to diagnose and monitor anemia non-invasively i.e without needles. The technology works on an optical principle and gives out results instantly.
Myshkin developed TouchHB ,a non invasive diagnostic apparatus for detecting undiagnosed anaemia which causes more than half of the maternal mortality cases in South Asia and Africa ,as is said"Invention is all about seeing what everyone sees and thinking what no one has thought"
A drive from mumbai to parel made him face the truth of Rural India ,that a thing like anaemia which is so easily preventable with iron and folic acid supplements is causing post partum haemorrhage and inturn death, just because of one reason that this engineer who is fond of making things found difficult to digest- Lack of devices, lab technitians to carry out the test
He says that"Public Health in India runs not on shoulder of doctors but on the Asha workers and we had to design something for her"
Why this inclusive thought which may be a common sense too missing from the heirarchy of policy makers?
""To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advance in science" and this creative imagination and more so the concern for the countrymen gave us TouchHB  after failed 32 attempts
Here is a non invasive apparatus that can count HB in just 20 seconds ,easy to operate and can find a handy place in Asha Didi's bag
Young thoughts, young ideas ,young people are silently bringing about a social revolution, somewhere around us,read about them ,listen to these inspiring Indians at

WHO SAID SUPERHEROES DON'T EXIST??

We all grew up with tales of Superheroes…..some desi ones and some videshi but accept it once in your life we all have been in awe of these superheroes. We all have imagined the world under grave dangers and superhero saving them all and wooing the cutest girl too
Gradually we mature ,we realize that they don’t exist, they save lives only in comics but is it true? A big NO
This month rains and weather created havoc in uttarakhand during the peak season of Hindu pilgrimage ,more than 60000 people got stranded in cold, water without any food and water
Those who survived the cloudburst and flood that ravaged Uttarakhand are limping back home with harrowing tales of spending four days without food and water, being forced to pay Rs.200 for a Rs.5 biscuit packet, and of a former Bihar minister who slept on a "layer of dead bodies".
The hundreds and thousands returning to safety from the rain ravaged Kedar Valley and other parts of devastated Uttarakhand have stories to narrate of human insensitivity, as some locals are fleecing the trapped pilgrims and tourists in the wake of shortages of food supply, shelter, medicines and drinking water The scenes of abandoned bodies ,everywhere land submerged under water is scary to the core reminding us of the mythological euphemism of ”Tandav” by Lord Shiva
And who else than our Indian Army,Air Force and Paramilitary forces saved the day, nonstop rescue operations, medical aid to old, infirm and injured and even staying back at the flood sites so that more and more stranded people can be airlifted Men in uniform owe this to us .Endless stories of bravery, sensitivity and rescue have been viral on internet, we all are sharing pics of these amazing persons ,tweeting about them, blogging but do remember when the water recedes and things get back to normal ,don’t ever forget that …………….”SUPERHEROES DO EXIST “ and they are in between us donning that uniform
IMPORTANT- those who wish to contribute funds for supporting the relief operations can send cheques to Prime Minister National relief fund at
